No flexibility from Northern Management Co nor a well maintained apartments
First let me explained my disappointed and aggravation with Northern Management Company the one that runs the apartment complex as they are just about money, not about a good happy tenant relationship. They have a system in place called AppFolio that they want you to use for Auto pay but without monitoring it. And the system it is NOT USER FRIENDLY, and so God forbids you made a mistake and the system take your payment twice and you tried to contact them to override or stop the second rent... payment, GOOD LUCK WITH THAT, it is impossible to get a hold of a person and when you do or call back they are very unpleasant and cold they do not have any sympathy for as they just won't help you nor would do anything to help you out even though you have been paying your rent on time for months.So, if you can't get a hold of anyone and you place a stop payment with your bank they will charge you $50 for each transaction plus late rent and they don't even care that you have been paying on time. So there is not any flexibility or empathy at all even when you have tried to call and left voice messages for someone to return your call. Then you will get a call from the onsite manager! They just don't care!!! The apartments need freshen up as they have so much green growing on the siding and spider webs everywhere, maintenance is lacking in all the areas. They only take care the yard and snow, other than that nothing is done in common areas or surroundings.The Managers in the apartment complex have a very poor and unfriendly attitude, maybe because they are two people that should be retired already, it seems they want this place to go down hill quick. They won't accept ideas for improvements nor would improve the complex, so tenants would be happy to stay. They used to have a playground for kids and took it down, so if you have kids forget it, as they won't have a place to play, nor your kids will be able to play anywhere around. Another issue is the fact that they don't have common areas that you can use for grilling or have a gathering. I guess once our lease is up we will move to another place where tenants are important and not a dollar sign and good luck in getting my deposit back!
