Rivers Edge Apartments

I recently had an extremely disappointing experience at Rivers Edge Apartments. The management is virtually nonexistent, with no on-site property manager to address residents’ concerns. The buildings are poorly maintained and often unclean, which is unacceptable for the rent prices they charge. The fitness center is falsely advertised; they have removed all equipment, rendering it useless. Additionally, interactions with Katz Properties’ corporate employees have been unpleasant; they are... unprofessional and rude. Overall, the apartments are vastly overpriced for the subpar living conditions and lack of amenities. I went on a tour of this apartment complex. Where do I begin? Upon walking into the main lobby of the complex, it smelled of weed. I know this isn't the Management company's fault, but still..
Alarm system was going off and beeping. The tour guide really didn't know what to do about it.
Walked down the hallway to the apartment to view and everything was severely run down and needed some attention. Bleach stains on the carpeting in the hallways, paint peeling everywhere, dreary lighting. ...
Entered the apartment, and it was a little nicer than the journey TO the apartment. Rooms are good size. Looked like the appliances needed some love. The ceiling bad a bunch of broken plastic molding things, which was weird. Patio area to outside was nice. Seemed like a relatively quiet area despite the busy road nearby.
The place used to be housing for the GE facility across the street, so there are areas in the apartment building that remind me of an office space (weight room and leisure area).
It was just an experience that turned me off and was uninviting for a place to be called 'home.' Read More
