I wouldn't recommend...

I moved into San Portales eight weeks ago, within that time I've been living with a bug issue-over 35 insects now, and counting. They are mostly silverfish, but also several beetles, a few unidentified (nasty looking) insects, one cockroach, a moth. These are just the insects that I have seen, not sure what comes out at night. After several pest control visits, requests for maintenance to seal the cracks, and have the neighbors sprayed, the issue is still occurring. I also asked management... to spray the immediate grounds of the apartment - they never bothered responding to me. Yet when the pest control supervisor came to visit recently, she recommended the same thing. Perhaps management will respond to her?!
At this point I've made a decision to move out - I don't need more bugs crawling on my couch, on my bed... causing me a chronic unsettled feeling, undue stress, and general inconvenience with pest control. I also don't want to continuously be exposed to pesticide. San Portales is contesting me on breaking my lease, they don't want to take any responsibility, and they don't seem to care if a resident is living under these conditions. I've received no reply from the property manager since my last email exchange with her. Based on this experience, I would never recommend a Mark-Taylor property. Don't be fooled by the "luxury...upscale" marketing. It's all a façade.
