Initially, the front office exhibited responsiveness and friendliness, yet these positive qualities quickly deteriorated over the course of my year-long stay. Regrettably, the building's value doesn't align with the price it commands. The financial burden extends beyond just rent, encompassing additional expenses for water, trash, electricity, internet, parking, and even renter's insurance – essentially an all-encompassing list. Unfortunately, the maintenance team's pace of response leaves much... to be desired, coupled with an uncooperative attitude and subpar repair efforts when they do tend to issues. However, the most distressing aspect is the pervasive presence of cockroaches throughout the common areas and even within living spaces, disgusting!
To amplify my disappointment, cockroaches emerged from the drain within my unit. When I sought pest control assistance, I was taken aback by the proposition of an emergency service charge – a proposition that I found utterly unreasonable. Additionally, the unit's HVAC system struggled to maintain consistent performance, and a persistent odd odor greeted anyone entering the premises. Adding to my discontent, upon terminating my lease after just one year, I had to reach out twice as my security deposit exceeded the 21-day window stipulated by California law. To my surprise, a substantial portion of the deposit was withheld for supposed "cleaning" and "full repainting." It's worth noting that I assumed the unit from a previous tenant that left without paying, and I had even invested in professional cleaning before vacating.
Awarding a mere one-star rating feels lenient given the collective grievances I've encountered during my tenancy.
Stay away, there are better options!!!
