Absolutely Terrible Landlords

They constantly raise rent while ignoring repairs. You can be a quiet, model tenant who never causes trouble and always pays on time and watch as the building and apartment fall apart around you due to poor quality maintenance/"renovations" while the rent keeps going up, up, up. Presumably to pay for even more cheap, quickie renovations due to their high resident turnover and needing to make the apartments look presentable to prospective tenants. But they only do low-quality stuff so they can... make it look nice and sucker people into renting for a few years, then repeat the process. They don't actually want you to stay, they want you to move out so they can jack the price up with the market, even though the unit aren't worth what you're paying.
