Under-Maintained and Under-Managed.
This apartment complex has over 60 units in it and each one has its own unique problems. I've lived in this complex for over 15 years and in that time, I've seen more managers (on site and off) come and go than I've seen UPS delivery men. In all seriousness, in the last 15 years there have been over 10 managers with the last one lasting only 5 months. The management company, The John Stewart Co., recently acquired this complex from the Levine Management Group. Since taking over this complex not... much has changed. We've had 3 or 4 incidents in the last two year where water to all the units has been cut off for over a day (once even lasting 3 days). The units desperately need updating and maintaining but instead all you get are hallow promises. The only time the management acts on anything is when there is an inspection from any overseeing government agency (as this is a HUD Low Income Apartment Complex). Policies change constantly and almost at a whim and many policies are not even enforced unless the manager, whoever that may be at the time, has something against you. The lease explicitly states that there are no pets allowed yet many people have pets that the manager is aware of. Additionally, the management here fails to cooperate with the most basic handicap accommodations regardless of how many doctors recommend something.
