12.5%-30% RENT INCREASE - NO CAP FOR NEW BUILDS
I just received a notice to increase rent at the time of my lease renewal. The 13-month rental rate increase is a 12.5% increase.
The month-to-month increase is 30%. There is no rental cap on apartments built in the last 15 years. The "bill back" for a single resident is approximately $155/monthly. This does not cover PG&E, for a single person is about $75 monthly in a 650sqft apartment. The property is well maintained, and the maintenance staff are quick to respond to concerns. The... property is now at 98% capacity leading to a more crowded feeling especially with additional visitors. I agree with the other comments that you will hear your neighbors walking above you and everything else they do above you as the floors are not carpeted.
