not the strong points

In the morning, a mouse wakes me up trying to get into the fireplace. I have to get up to turn the fireplace on when it is 100 degrees outside to make the mouse go back into the walls. I have written letters to the property manager. He won't do anything about it.

The resident manager said there were mice on the first floor four years ago and the new manager, who is prejudiced told the property manager the mice are my fault.

The apartment kitchen was built with holes in the walls...
and I saw a mouse run across the floor.

I have to catch giant chinese cockroaches with clear plastic containers while screaming. The water pipes are broken outside and giant chinese cockroaches walk up the pipes into the bathtub and into the apartment. I put the container upside down over the cockroach and slide junk mail paperboard underneath the container and the cockroach. I have to slide the lid under the paperboard, if possible. I pull the paperboard out and attach the lid to catch the cockroach. Sometimes the cockroach gets out and I am screaming.

The bathroom sink and the kitchen sink leak water and cause mold. I was told it isn't bad enough to fix.

I didn't have hot water for four years. My boyfriend and I told the manager many times, since we moved in. Finally, the new manager convinced the property manager to fix the problem. The plumber said when the old owner changed the pipes, too much sauter was left in the hot water faucet and jammed it so I got no hot water.

The paint fell of the walls two days after I moved in. I asked for a discount and the property manager told me to be prepared for a giant rent increase.

In the morning, I found a large silverfish bug in my coffee cup. The silver fish bugs come up the broken pipes outside up the drains and all over the kitchen and apartment.

Giant rats live in a hole on the side of the building. At five a.m., they come out and run around the courtyard.

The manager who rented me the apartment told me the pool would be fixed before I moved in. Six years later it still hasn't been fixed.

Two and a half years of construction and painting.

We had to move out for a week for a fumigation tent. Our power was out when we came back. The fumigation company told me the law says I have to ask the manager to call the power company to turn on the power. The manager screamed at me.
