Long Time Resident: Tired of no action

I have lived in this complex for over 3 years and while I appreciate the separate units which offer some level of privacy, there are multiple issues that management needs to address before I would recommend it to others. When I first moved here, the layout of the units with large grassy areas between them seemed like a great way to have one's own space and not interfere with neighbors on a daily basis. However, this is not the case as the neighborhood children frequently invade residents'... privacy by entering patios and coming close to bedroom windows, making it difficult to feel safe in one's own home. They also damage communal plants and fixtures, such as by ripping out flowers, breaking sprinklers, and leaving trash everywhere. Despite being aware of these issues, management has failed to take any action to address them. I personally know 4 other residents that have moved out as a direct result of the children's behavior and I will be the next if the situation does not improve. Additionally, the area is only cleaned up when management is giving tours. Typically the children are reeking havoc around 9808 Jamestown but often go throughout the entire community.

Another prominent issue is that there are not enough trash cans for the number of tenants living here so you’ll have to wait several days to be able to throw it out. Despite the lack of trash bins, this does not stop people from jumping in the bin and ransacking your stuff. I’ve seen someone going through the trash at least twice a month for the past year or two. My only solution is to shred everything and hope I never throw out anything personal.

Another problem is that the washing machines break often and can’t even clean a queen comforter without ripping it to shreds. I’ve tried several different comforters ending in the same result. The dryers also barely work and require more than one cycle for your clothes to dry. A very prominent issue is the toilets barely flush. I’m a 120lb female and break the toilet at least twice a month.

Avoid Woodside Village

Lived here for just 1 year because the property management company believes that the area deserves premium pricing because of a school. It was already over priced compared to so many other places and because it is almost Saticoy the only thing it is close to is the 126 (which you will hear EVERY NIGHT). The area gets trashed up quite often because of the kids coming home from school and no one cares. Joanna's attitude completely depends on the day and how stressed she may be at the time. Oh... and do not dare ask for anything around the 25th through the last day of the month because that is closing time for all the properties and there is no way Joanna will have time for any of your concerns.

**SEE YELP REVIEW OF THIS PLACE FOR BETTER DETAILS**

Unless you are absolutely desperate for a place immediately, which seems to be the majority of the people that rent here, avoid leasing here unless you have multiple incomes and are prepared to pay a premium for a small place. I gave it a 2 star instead of a 1 because of Gabe who really should be in charge since he is more of a people person.
