Very Poor Management

The neighborhood is great and every apartment has nice large balconies. The management, however, is poor. The front lobby door has been broken for months, and there is no communication with tenants regarding when it will be fixed, and no urgency given to a permanent fix. Instead of completely replacing the door, which is clearly needed, they do temporary bandaid repairs that only last a couple days, at best. Of course, this results in package thefts from the lobby, but there’s been no attempt... made to install package lockers or create a secure package room.
One of the two elevators is broken a lot, and management doesn’t provide updates. The laundry room is often a mess. Machines are broken a lot, and it sometimes takes a couple months for them to be fixed. With only 6 washers and 6 dryers for a 12 floor building, it’s very inconvenient when even 1 machine is broken. If they’re interested in accommodating tenants who pay a good amount of rent, they should replace the machines that are worn out and frequently out of order with new working machines, and also add a couple additional machines. The apartments are very hot (at least on the higher floors), and the building doesn’t switch from heat to AC for the summer season until it’s already well over 80 degrees outside. Even once the AC is turned on, it’s not powerful. It would be a pretty decent building if more care was taken on communication, maintenance, and resident safety and security.

Crime crime crime

My bike and my partner's bike both got stolen out of a locked garage in a bike locker here. My neighbor got their car stolen out of the garage. One of the treadmills has been broken for months in the tiny tiny gym. Major package theft. Loud alleyway behind us. Maintenance tried to enter our apartment without notice multiple times, which could have gone very wrong because we have a dog. Impossible to track down management. When they shut the water off without notice, I had to go through three... different offices until I got directed to ours. Neighbors are chill tho.

Horrible management, neighbors and Apt fell apart

Where to begin. I moved out already so maybe it’s improved. When I lived here I had an assigned parking spot in the garage that was regularly taken by a random person. I work nights so I had to deal with no parking at 3am multiple times and a tow truck doesn’t fit in the garage, so it was a multiple hour ordeal before I could park and finally relax after work. Management didn’t show remorse and never sent a notice to tenants not to park in assigned spaces.

For the longest time (months) we had...
no outdoor lights that worked. So when you walk outside at night there’s not security lights. Street is dark and cap hill is not safe. I complained for so long before it got fixed. Management doesn’t care about tenant safety or else they would of given us lights after my 3rd complaint, not 10th.

Lots of crime, during Christmas someone entered our building and stole all the packages that were left out and drove away. Lots of car break ins. Lots of trash left in the building and elevators. Lots of noise and partying at 2am from neighbors.

My apt was okay when I moved in, had a major leak that wasn’t my fault and rest of my lease my carpet was messed up and baseboards torn out. No one cleaned it up. My toilet regularly broke down and made a terrible loud noise when the water was running.

Very loud in the hallway too all the time. No peace and quiet. Hallways are tiny too so you hear everyone.

When I finally moved out maintenance was blocking the loading zone for my moving truck. When I moved in it was blocked too.
