Constant noise and inconveniences

Do you like living in a loud construction zone at an inflated rent price? Colorado Station has become a nightmare of an apartment complex to live in ever since Red Peak took over. They ended all leases so they could renovate the apartments. If you’re currently in a non renovated apartment I urge you not to renew your lease. You will be stuck listening to drilling, banging and hammering...you’ll enjoy the smell of fresh paint and chemicals in the hallway...you’ll get your water turned off monthly... and you might even get to hear the fire alarm go off with no explanation or no warning. Was there any mention of ending our lease after a year and renovating the ENTIRE BUILDING when we moved in? Of course not. I consider this being lied too. I doubt it was a last minute decision by Red Peak to ruin...er, improve the apartments when they bought the building. Red Peak has shown no signs of empathy or concern for how these living conditions affect their tenants. Anything so they can squeeze a few extra bucks out of potential and current renters. In short, I would not recommend this property or management company.

Don't rent here until at least June 2020 - renovations throughout the complex

If you want to pay market rate rent for an apartment and then not be able to think in your new home because of the construction noise for months on end - not to mention being exposed to toxic chemicals and construction dust - then come to Colorado Station.

Otherwise, there are much better apartments available at other complexes.

RedPeak doesn't care one bit about how this construction affects the tenants. All they seem to be interested in is getting more money from the tenants.

On, the...
positive side, the maintenance staff is absolutely excellent! Repairs are made within hours of submitting a work order. All of the maintenance staff are respectful, professional and highly skilled.

The leasing consultant is also very professional, efficient and courteous.

The other member of the leasing staff is not professional and has made a number of errors when calculating pro-rata rents. One tenant I know will not be renewing their lease because that leasing staff member was very unprofessional and rude.

I am amazed that RedPeak hasn't trained their staff to be professional and respectful in their interactions with tenants nor set up a process where dissatisfied tenants can safely provide feedback on how they are treated by the leasing staff. There is such a process for the maintenance staff.

The grounds here are beautiful in a simple and natural kind of way. There are large areas of lawn and lots of tall trees on the 9 acres of the complex.

A number of the tenants, both long-term and new, are very pleasant and considerate.

There is good soundproofing from the normal noises of living but not from the construction noise.

So, like a lot of life, at Colorado Station there is both good and and bad but for until next summer, the bad will far outweigh the good.

Near Perfection

Downsized from a 4 bedroom house to this one-bedroom apartment, and it is terrific! The building is well-kept, the staff are caring and responsive, the apartment itself has character with its sun room and brick wall in the living room. Everything I need fits in here just right. The kitchen, while small, has everything placed just right. The location of the apartment is perfect, takes 30 minutes off my commute to work, there is the light rail nearby, restaurants, grocery stores, movie... theaters, parks. And it is quiet over here, can't even hear the neighbors! I plan on staying here for a long time.
