Review of The Savoy (1986 S. Univ. Blvd., Denver, CO 80210)
I recommend without hesitation renting from Savoy Apartments in Denver. My husband and I have rented an apartment from the company at 1986 S. University Blvd. on the DU campus for the last 4 years. We are now moving north to be closer to work and are sad to be leaving our comfortable and cozy apartment. I am writing this review because Savoy has treated us very well and we're hoping to spread the word so the company can find good tenants in the future. We have not been asked to provide this... review.
Maggie, the owner of Savoy, has always been responsive, professional, and kind. Her team works hard to maintain the building and premises. When it snowed this week, someone from the company was shoveling the walkway at 10:30 pm and then back at 6 am the next day (in 2 degree temperatures!) to shovel again before we all started our day. When we have placed maintenance requests, Maggie has sent someone over as quickly as possible to resolve the issue. We have lived in a corner unit and have truly loved our space with an open layout and plenty of natural light. The in-unit washer and dryer and parking garage with reserved spots have been major pluses for us. There kitchen has a ton of cabinet space and the closets are large. Our rent has been very fair. The apartment is right on S. University, so it can be noisy with traffic. But, not noisy to the point of being disruptive. The neighbors tend to be DU students and young working professionals. The walls are thick and, with the exception of 2-3 loud parties in the last 4 years, we have never heard our neighbors. We have loved the proximity to coffee shops (Starbucks across the street and Kaladi Coffee Roasters within walking distance), bars (Asbury Provisions across the street), and restaurants (Ginza Sushi & Grill down the street). During the warmer months, we have occasionally walked to South Pearl and south Gaylord Street for food and drinks.
