Riverpoint Village seems like a very nice apartment complex however you have to deal with rowland powers
I've lived here for a year and I can easily say if you have kids, DO NOT move here. While it... is low-income housing and that can be a draw-in, the owner and part-time manager is negligent, at best. The level of difficulty in just setting an appointment and getting ahold of him should have been the first red flag, but I assumed he would be busy due to these apartments being "so sought after". Wrong, he simply chooses to only work about 4 days out of the month. He can be both verbally and physically hostile when he is confronted with maintenance issues and will promise to fix something "if you're a tenant long enough" which is never how anyone should treat a service they provide, let alone the types of issues he uses that technique for, such as moldy carpets and pest problems. I have two children under two and after they crawl on the floors here at River Point their feet smell so disgusting I won't let them get in their bed with out a bath. It's foul. I have found broken pieces of glass the size of my palm in the playground area and he doesn't care. To him "this is just him running HIS business". DO NOT RENT HERE. Even our attorney has described the owner, Rowland Powers, as lazy and conceited. Lee mas
