The District at Phenix City Apartamentos

I’ve lived in a handful of apartments in a few cities and this by far was the best apartment complex I’ve ever lived in. None of the other places compared to this place. Not by a long shot. At this price you can expect to be in the hood but I hadn’t had any issues when I lived in.

This complex is by far the worst I've ever lived. I've gotten chased by a random guy on foot while going to my car for work & to make matters worse, I had my baby with me. When I brought it to management's attention, they told me that it wasn't much that they could do because my story was one-sided. As if the guy was going to go in the rent office and tell them he chased me... They really need cameras on the apartment buildings, and not just in the front watching the rent office & pool area. IF... THEY HAD CAMERAS, THEY WOULDV'E SEEN ME GETTING CHASED. When I asked if I could break my lease because I didn't feel safe, they wanted to charge me a ridiculous amount. I moved here specifically because they were advertised as a "gated community" & the gate literally was 'broken" my entire year of living here. It was working maybe 2 weeks if that. I attempted to visit the gym, but a lot of the machines weren't functioning so I never tried going again. My apartment has a gnat problem, and spots in my ceiling from a possible leak. The brown sink and shower faucets in both bathrooms are disgusting looking and blue. No matter how much I clean them, they still look dirty. Dogs are always running loose & pooping everywhere. My company and myself has gotten chased several times by dogs that are supposed to be on a leash. Parking lot is always full of trash & smelly from dog poop. These apartments are definitely not worth the money! I will never recommend them to anyone. They are all about getting their rent on time, and in my opinion care nothing about their residents. When I asked for corporate's number, the property manager told me that it was best to talk to her because corporate was just going to direct me back to her.. which was fine, but I never heard back from the property manager about my situation, so my review needs no reply. I love my new home! The staff made the entire process simple, quickly responding to my questions and needs, and worked enthusiastically to make me truly comfortable.

The staff is very friendly, my apartment was nice and refreshing on my move in date, and the amenities made me love the place even more!

There are better options out there. Service members buy or rent a home, go on post this place isnt worth it I promise. Maybe someday they will get their act together but currently they are trending downwards and making little effort to resolve it. Residents come second here.
