DISHONEST, in my opinion.
The representative said the $400 Pet Deposit would go towards any repairs or cleaning that the property may incur caused by the pet. When I received my statement, the Deposit was not applied. When you move out, you're no longer speaking with the Property Reps, only some Billing company who absolutely did not help. First they recommended I submit a claim. I did, then later called and confirmed they received the claim. They told me they did and now I needed to wait 10 days. Still didn't get a... response. Called again and they changed their story, saying they didn't get a claim until the 27th (submitted the 22nd) and I had to wait another 2 weeks. Spent the next 20+ minutes speaking to someone who kept telling me I had no Pet Deposit. I had to help her find it on my lease. She was unprofessional, kept interrupting me.
I did not see this being the ending to my experience - one would expect more for this type of property. Only exception are two of the ladies at the office that were always pleasant as well as their Maintenance Team. Unfortunately, overall, very disappointed in the company's practices.
Other things to note (if you tour); pay close attention to your pantry. If you're unlucky like I was, it was tiny as half of it was behind a wall right next to the refrigerator--making that part of it useless.
Also, the property is constantly having to shut their water off. CONSTANTLY. Don't bother calling the office for any issues, it'll be quicker to just walk over because it's very difficult to get a hold of someone over the phone.
In all, do not expect the company to back what they say. Make sure your lease matches the promises they made verbally. Otherwise, it means absolutely nothing.
