All take and no give…
I moved into this complex in December of 2022. They moved my move-in date three times, which I was frustrated with, but tried to be accommodating knowing they were a new build with construction setbacks. Everything that came after, however, is a demonstration of their lack of care for those they rent to. This unit was supposed to be prewired for WiFi, yet I was not told until papers were signed and money exchanged that my unit did not yet have WiFi. Since I work from home with personal health... information, it was not as easy as just taking my laptop to a public location with free WiFi. I had to find a private location to work and live from until my WiFi was up and going; they were kind enough to not charge me for the WiFi I was not getting during this period… Additionally, on my move-in day there was a construction worker still inside my home doing installation of lights. My unit had without a doubt not been professionally cleaned and my mom and I spent my whole first day cleaning the unit. I communicated these things to the management via phone call to the main office and they stated they would work on getting me concessions. They didn’t follow through with that and when I reminded them of this they stated if I had anything promised in writing they would love to see that so they could rectify it, which of course I would not since I spoke with them in person (leasing agent) and over the phone (property manager). When my lease was up, I was not ready to move so I was going to renew for the least amount of time possible. They sent out a renewal option for 10 months, but it had the incorrect lease information on it. I notified them of this and when they corrected it the shortest option was now 11 months. The people who work here make mistake after mistake, and care little for the impacts those mistakes have. The unit itself is fine, but the final product regarding the construction workmanship was subpar. Find another location with management who demonstrates care for the work they do and the impact they have on others.
