Relatively Affordable, But Not Worth It
The rent cost for a central location in the valley, the in-unit appliances and the fitness center are the selling points.
However there are a handful of negative aspects to consider. Parking is subpar, good luck if you drive a larger vehicle. The neighborhood is not suitable to walk at night. The property is renovated to look new and pretty in all the pictures, but there are obvious signs that the building is well aged (My wall leaked water every time that it rained). Also, in my 1.5 years... living here more than 5 packages I’ve ordered have either been stolen or lost. The “Amazon Hub” that is supposed to be an amenity is often out of order, and the delivery driver will give it to someone and mark as delivered and you will never see that package. At a time where I’m ordering products online more than ever, this has been extremely frustrating. And it’s not just me, the community has a facebook page and at least once a week someone makes a post that they are trying to track down a package that was said to be delivered. 32 Arcadia very recently changed to a new property management company which I was hoping would resolve the shortfalls, but the new management has actually been more incompetent than the last.
I picked this apartment when I first moved to Phoenix because it conveniently sits within a 15 minute drive of downtown, Scottsdale and Tempe. Now that I have lived in the valley and become familiar, I can confidently state that there are better options out there.
