Poorly maintained property and Pathetic Management
Extremely incompetent and dishonest management company who is only interested in enriching itself at the expense of its tenants. There is no onsite management and even when there is any representative, they are too incompetent to know anything or be of assistance. The property has a history of bed bug, check the lease agreement for more details, and the management has failed to take the steps as required by the law and Lease Agreement to effectively and timely address these serious health risk... issues. They also charge you $40 per month for Common Area Maintenance, which they are not supposed to do, and never do anything to show for it.
I reported the Bed Bug infestation, by Media’s negligence in my absence. Despite timely reporting, Media failed to immediately act for weeks, because Orkin was not available to address this serious health problem and Media refused to use another company. This caused me be to move out of my apartment for a month, which Media refused to reimburse me for the cost of alternate housing I incurred, even though the Lease Agreement calls for such reimbursement.
Further, not only Media refused to refund my security deposit within the 21 days required by law, but also Media withheld my security deposit and allowed its incompetent lying attorneys to illegally bully me and to use that repeatedly as a leverage and bargaining chip to get me to sign a Release and Waiver, giving up my rights against Media.
Despite the fact that I had already given my Notice of Intent to Vacate for two months, Media sent me an Eviction Notice to retaliate against me for reporting bed bugs in my apartment, caused by negligence of the landlord in my absence. Media to-date has refused to reimburse me for my expenses.
Media and its incompetent lying attorneys engaged in harassment and bullying with intent to harass, annoy, threaten, intimidate, and retaliate against me, in violation of Civil Code section 1942.5, for fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud, and the willful violations of Rules of Professional Conduct, in order to illegally threaten to evict me and to deter me from pursuing my rights against Media for negligence and breach of contract, as well as FEHA violations, and by illegally withholding refund of my security deposit in violation of Civil Code section 1950.5 (g)(1).
If you value your sanity and hard earned money, then stay away from this property and its management.
