Mostly Good
Le Provence has many benefits that outweigh the drawbacks. I left in March, 2017, after living there for a year (I left CA to return home). ***First, the BENEFITS.*** 1) MAINTENANCE is amazing and my complaints were handled almost instantly, sometimes within just minutes. 2) The OFFICE STAFF is great, especially Blakely who has a level of hospitality, discernment, and warmth that could get her hired at a five-star hotel. 3) The grounds are kept CLEAN and they put in new landscaping/plants a few... times a year. 4) They do EVENTS occasionally, which give you a chance to meet the neighbors. ***Now, the DRAWBACKS.*** 1) The WALLS ARE THIN, but the office will do what they can to accommodate everyone regarding a noise complaint. Unfortunately, they obviously won't be able to do anything about your ability to hear the footsteps of the neighbors upstairs. 2) I scheduled a MOVE-OUT INSPECTION with the assistant manager, but she didn't show up for it nor did she call to reschedule. I was then charged $125 for a "medium cleaning" and another $105 for carpet cleaning after I moved out. The carpet was fine when I left, so I'm not sure why I was charged for the cleaning. By her not showing up, I wasn't informed about the expected fees in advance. 3) The pool area is great, with the minor exception that only two of the jets work in the HOT TUB and the hot tub usually has leaves at the bottom. 4) Many of the neighbors have DOGS (some of which are noisy), but they have a program to reduce pet waste in public areas. 5) You have to apply for a MAILBOX KEY at the post office, but Le Provence goes the extra step to give you a form that's already filled out so you just have to drop it off at the post office with your non-refundable $25 payment.
