Poor Business Practices
Reading the reviews before signing a lease with the Row would have saved me a great deal of trouble. I contacted them on April 28th to provide my forwarding address for my deposit check return. However, they still sent it to my previous address, completely disregarding my instructions, as evidenced by a photo I received from Informed Delivery on May 1st. The Row's response was unacceptable when I called them again. They claimed that the check would have been forwarded if I had set up mail... forwarding. This was absurd since I had already done so. The envelope had no name on it, which made mail forwarding impossible. Despite my repeated attempts to contact Row, they ignored me and did not return my calls. I was left with no choice but to contact their corporate office. The first person I spoke with promised to mail the check the next day, but after a week of waiting, I had to call again. This time, they claimed that it was not their responsibility. However, this was clearly their mistake for not sending it to the correct address in the first place, so they should have taken responsibility for it. I requested that they reissue the check since they had sent it to the wrong address, but they refused, claiming that once it was mailed, they had no control over it.
