Edison Long Beach Apartamentos

I absolutely love living here! The building is beautiful! It's pet friendly, and the staff is truly amazing. Juanita, the building manager, along with Daniel, assistant manager, Ronnie and Anyssa, are always so friendly and welcoming. They go above and beyond to make us residents feel at home.

The maintenance team, Daniel, JoseLuis, and Yesenia do a fantastic job keeping everything in great shape. They're always ready to help with any issues that may come up. They also take time to say hello.... My fur baby absolutely loves all of the staff.

The resident events are always a lot of fun, and have been a great way to connect with my neighbors. Plus, the location is perfect. We're close to everything I need. A lot of which is just a short walk away. I couldn't ask for a better place to live! I highly recommend The Edison to anyone looking for a great place to live. Lee mas

We initially moved into Edison Apartments intending to renew our lease but quickly realized how incompetent the management was. From the start, there were issues. Our leasing agent, Anyssa, was poorly trained and misinformed us about key policies, including the fact that tenants are responsible for repainting the unit and hiring a cleaning service upon move-out—clear tactics to withhold deposits.

Throughout our 10-month stay, management repeatedly failed to address concerns. My assigned... basement parking spot reeked of sewage, often had standing water, and despite multiple requests, they refused to move me. Utility billing was another scam—water and sewer charges were based on occupancy, not actual usage. Even when we traveled for a month, we still received a $120+ bill. Their valet trash service was useless; the bins were too small, recyclables weren’t accepted, and they ignored smaller bags.

The building’s atmosphere was unpleasant. Residents were often rowdy, and one even vomited outside our door. Management claimed they sent notices about respectful behavior, but we never received one. When I asked to check security footage, they conveniently claimed they had no cameras—despite cameras being present on the first floor. Package theft was also an issue, and the so-called security guard was only there occasionally.

Juanita, the property manager, was unprofessional and dismissive. When we inquired about downsizing, she falsely claimed that only upgrades were allowed. Our unit, marketed as “west-facing” for sunset views, was on the second floor, offering no view and excessive heat, which led to soaring electricity bills—sometimes reaching $500. Southern California Edison later confirmed they had been estimating our usage due to being unable to locate our meter. Instead of helping, Juanita brushed it off with a tone-deaf comment about her own bill.

Parking was another headache. Tenants had to pay an extra $100 for a single space, and if you had a second car, you were forced to find parking elsewhere.

Upon move-out, Edison lived up to its scamming reputation. Despite leaving the unit in perfect condition, we were hit with a $680 charge for painting, cleaning, and other unexplained fees. Additionally, they charged us for two months of utilities post-move-out. It’s clear they have a system in place to withhold deposits and extract as much money from tenants as possible.

The Edison has been my favorite apartment I've ever lived in. I love the staff, my neighbors, not to mention the design.

I absolutely love the location. We're within walking distance to just about everything. The staff is amazing. Everyone is so nice. The building is beautiful, and the views are incredible. I definitely made the right choice, when I decided to move into the Edison.

It's been 2 weeks since we moved into the Edison and have LOVED the experience so far. I'd urge anyone considering the apartment to tour the facility, because I'm sure you will fall in love like we did. The floor to ceiling windows and 11th floor pool were all we really needed to see, but the quality of service, guests, and views just keep making our decision better and better.
