Please, live somewhere else
One of the worst properties I have lived in.
Cons:
1) Walls are incredibly thin (you really can hear everything)
2) There are roaches
3) Management is so incompetent and unresponsive you would think they are paid to not do their job
4) Packages are stolen and management does little to address the issue
5) The gate to the garage has been left open for multiple days, spanning several months, due to it breaking multiple times. Tenants have received notices of cars in the garage being broken... into and despite requests to fix it, at times it remains open for nearly a week (parking costs $125/month)
6) The front metal gate, which should be locked, was broken for weeks and allowed anyone who pulled on it access to the whole building
7) Internet randomly goes out sometimes and management is slow to address the issue. Horrible if you work from home.
Pros:
1) You are near some nice restaurants and in a walkable part of LA
2) The maintenance/repair staff is helpful and friendly if something is wrong with an appliance in your apartment (which happens often so you'll become familiar with them as a result of the poor quality of the apartment)
I chose to live here because I liked Koreatown and wanted something close to the action. The location itself is nice but with the increasing presence of a growing homeless population, it makes it feel less safe (there was a tent set up 15 feet from the front entrance of the apartment). Management really is inept and you will find constant reminders of this if you live here for longer than a month. For what you pay you should be getting more. There is so much development in Koreatown that you could easily find a better place to live in the area.
