The Lone Oak Apartments

I've lived at the Lone Oak Apts since 2009 so 15 years now. The previous reviewer was wrong about the bathrooms as only 12 apts have their windows facing the courtyard out of 25 and there are 2 - 100 gallon water heaters downstairs for all apts. Don't know why someone would want a water heater in their apt. Mountain View has changed a lot, but luckily we have kept a nicely quiet, clean, safe and private living space since almost all the properties in our street are owned houses so people really... care about the street and surrounding area, parking is accessible and we're only one block from El Camino Real. Unfortunately there's always people looking to take advantage of situations so you will find visitors, day workers and just random people who don't care about others making a mess everywhere they go. Thogh the Lone Oak Apts have updated many apts so you can find studios or 1BR's which are newer looking than any 2BR. I believe only 2 out of 8 - 2BR's are newly updated. The rest have tenants for many years so they are just maintained and updated as necessary I'm told. Great place to live if you're fortunate enough to qualify to get in. Lee mas

My complex is not high-end by any means. There's no air conditioning, the roofing insulation is slim to non existent and its fixtures are generally circa 1970s.

No in-unit utilities (w/d nor hot water heater). 2 coin op washers in the back of the complex. The 2 bdrm units are generally way better than the 1's or studios. The 1s have pretty small galley kitchens. One annoyance is the bathroom windows all face in toward the central courtyard.

But the onsite managers are cool folks and you know... this place is not headed for any radical price increase in the foreseeable future. Lee mas
