Limited resident parking, no guest parking, built fast and flimsy
The common issue is parking. There is garage parking for $50+ (per apartment, you get one spot for $50, but if multiple roommates need a spot consecutive spots are pricier.) There are around 31 spots of free first come first serve parking (most are barely large enough for a compact car so expect door dings, my car has been in the body shop for 2 weeks getting this exact issue fixed.) There are two buildings at basecamp with 4 floors each. I estimate around 80 apartment complexes, so expect to... pay for a spot or park on 8th street in the onstreet, back in parking (where you will frequently see cars with their front bumpers ripped off from traffic.)
Next is the issues with the hotel "The Eddy" next door. This hotel owns most the parking on location and will call a tow truck on you.
The apartments themselves look nice but are built so terribly. Rooms in a 3 br, 2 bath are around 10'x10' so don't expect to stretch out lol. The handle for the shower fell off and busted a friend's toe. The master bathroom sink faucet just fell off and soaked the ceiling. The upstairs neighbors will be heard stomping around. Friends in other apartments have had cabinet doors just fall off.
You will share your apartment gym with the same hotel that will not share a parking spot with you. Clear Creek is behind these apartments which means you will be overrun with tourists coming to float the river and stealing your resident parking spots. The property says they will tow these people but will not. There is no location for your guests to park, they will have to make due with city parking blocks away or risk being towed.
The package delivery system is a joke. The apartment complex will not put up instructions for delivery drivers on how to get into the mailroom and it's not labeled well at all for these deliveries. Depending on the delivery driver your packages will end up delivered to the hotel, left on the sidewalk, (I've had at least a half dozen packages stolen), or will be left at the office blocks away.
If you have roommates these apartments also have a vent over every door so you can hear everyone. There is also no automatic door closers on the front doors, so you will hear all your neighbors slam doors all day every day.
