1936 Vinewood Apartments

I paid this landlady extra money on top of rent and late fees for two months now. This extra money was supposed to go to next months rent, but she pocketed the money instead, telling me that I never paid her extra. This is on top of "losing" a payment I made a while back, just to miraculously find it later that day.

They give you the maintenance mans number to call and make repairs, but he simply ignores the calls/texts. The place is falling apart and nothing's being done about it.

When I... called out the landlady, she made a laundry list of excuses as to why that money couldn't go to something productive.

Neighborhood is terrible. Lot of atrange types hang around especially at night. Gunfire is way more frequent than we'd like.

Whether through sheer incompetence or plain theft. These folks managed to lose the rent money I gave them. I placed it specifically in the very drop box they told me to drop the money orders in, and was told days later the payment was never made. When I let them know, they refused to even consider the idea. They assumed I never made the payment and demanded the cash anyway. This is very shady, or a huge mistake, but either way, don't trust these people.
