You Get What You Pay For
We are about to move out of Foxwoods because our lease is almost up so I feel like now that I have been here for almost a whole year, I can write a proper review. I would say you definitely get what you pay for. I had an issue early on with a really sketchy neighbor who was doing drug deals (he was evicted by law enforcement) but besides him, everyone in our building have been extremely kind. I have never had any issues when we get stuff sent here and I do not believe other people have either.... My one issue is that when they renovated these units, you can tell it was very poorly done/done by people who don't know what they are doing. You can see drywall tape through the paint that they put over. There's is also paint on door knobs, there were nail holes in the wall still, and the outlets soon became unstuck from the wall so we have just glued them back in place because the apartment rarely actually fixes something. The ceiling literally has a dip in it. We had mold come up due to the bathroom shower head leaking (which maintenance said they fixed and they didn't). Now we are paying for a 2bd and 2 bath and in reality we aren't using one of the bathrooms due to worrying about mold. We also have had an issue recently of the floor coming up and all they do is come and look at it and close your maintenance ticket without resolving. We have also had an issue for months about the main door to our building slamming SO loud. My husband and I could be in our master with the door shut and our sound blocker behind the door and we STILL hear the door slam. I put in a maintenance request and yet again, it was closed without being resolved or a comment explaining why they couldn't fix it.
Again, for the rent you pay, you cant be surprised by all the issues. The people in the office are super nice and kind. They do all types of events for the kids in the complex for holidays. I only got to visit the pool once in the summer because I was so busy but it was nice the one time I went. I love the area and the grounds of the property. I will miss the area, however, I will NOT miss living here.
