Infestations, Lack of Integrity, Refusal to Maintain Unit
The lack of integrity began during the application process. It was listed as an immediate move in however the process was delayed for three weeks. The leasing consultant was on medical leave (their personal report to me as well as staff) yet was the only one that could purportedly complete my application. I received via email multiple messages to pay and complete an application after I paid and completed an application for a unit that I toured and repeatedly stated I wanted to stay in a certain... price. The agent continued to request higher income proof to then rent me a unit $200 higher than the unit I applied for and had been approved. That consultant reported to be on strong pain meds and it’s believable as they continued to send me paperwork that was already sent to them and sent me personal and confidential information from another person applying. The unit I applied for was rented out to someone else and was given a unit I had not toured and wasn’t applying for but was assured they cleared me financially for and was approved. Due to my need to move in I accepted it, I was adamant throughout the process I applied due to the special and promise of quick move in. The unit I then signed for was delayed keys due to a policy of maintenance and insurance needing to prepare and check the unit before I move in. I was denied a walk through due to this process and told to complete a move in check list. Upon move in I marked off the presence of roaches, broken stovetop burners , non functioning outlets, floor integrity concerns, non functioning windows and lack of screens on windows and back balcony door, no vent for stove, dirty window sills and bathroom including urine on the toilet seat and ring in toilet, a dirty filter with a cigar with weed left in the tray to be transparent. It has been three months and I have yet to have anything addressed aside from the stove. I was recently denied maintenance requests unless I take off work and evacuate the unit because they state they won’t pay for after hour fees or weekend fees to fix issues that weren’t complete from the beginning. These practices and issues are reported to multiple avenues and am awaiting my next steps. Save yourself the trouble!
