Best Place to Live if Renting in Jacksonville!

I believe in telling it like it is: good, bad or ugly. So believe me when I say that The Enclave in Jacksonville, FL is THE BEST place to live in Duval County if you are renting, in my opinion. I searched high and low when I first moved to Florida and this place stood out above all the rest for so many reasons. One, it is conveniently-located to restaurants, shopping, hospitals, beaches, universities, etc (and no more than 15 minutes away from any major restaurant chain, the Mayo Clinic, Town... Center, and all the beaches (Atlantic, Neptune, Jax Beach). It is set in the midst of a nature preserve (but still right in the heart of things), so you get the best of both worlds (a rural country feel while at home, but also city conveniences right outside the apartment's two exits. In addition, it is exceptionally quiet here (no road noise from the main thoroughfare day or night, despite a front entrance/exit onto Atlantic Blvd and a rear exit onto San Pablo), so you can actually hear and enjoy the many water fountains located throughout the property, which are viewable from your patio or balcony--or windows. BUT THE BEST PART OF THIS luxury-living modern-styled and equipped apartment complex to me is the GREAT STAFF in the office (shout out to extraordinaire CINDY, SHANNON, and BRITTANY), as well as the complex's WONDERFUL maintenance crew (JOHN, RON, and MICHELLE I know by name--and from their excellent service). I LOVE all of these office and maintenance staff members' dedication and prompt response to the residents and their needs! EVERY DAY (not just certain days of the year), these workers and their fellow workers (sorry I don't know everyone's names) go above and beyond to be at the beck-and-call to residents, so we can enjoy a five-star living experience. So very glad we moved here!

could be way better, management is horrible

decent area and friendly maintenance team. apartments are okay, aging a bit on this inside design with just modern appliances. My biggest issue was the property manager, stove top broke and we had to pay to replace it. was a nightmare of how they charged me and the discussion had to resolve it. they told me they would either replace the part or get a new stove, which ever was cheaper... they never said a word until a maintenance worker showed up and installed an a much nicer and newer model. all... of a sudden I see the charge required with my rent dues... the oven they replaced it with is much more expensive and now i have to pay immediately with the my rent and there was no way to fix it. they over charged me. they said they would reimburse me for it and never did. when i left and they said i owed money, i told them the money they owed me and to use to cover the expense i was owing for the last month of utilities... they ended up reporting the charges to creditors yet again with no response of their intentions... management is shady for such potential of a property, you would expect so much more

Love the Enclave but….

We have loved living at the Enclave for past 4 years, but the rent increases sadly will be making us leave. Our first year it was reasonable, but each year after the rent has spiked to where it is out of our budget. Nothing has changed since we started renting in the complex, except the annual rent increases.

I have lived here 12 years and love the area and staff. It is located close to everything. The office and maintenance staff are always there to help you if needed. The complex makes sure they have the place looking beautiful. We have outside food trucks come in . The complex makes sure the residents feel welcome through out the year with special events. Nice pool areas and nice play area for children.

Maintenance is not timely, the dog park is just a mud pit full of dog excrement, often the trash compactor is down or missing, and the gates rarely work.
