Sugartree Apartamentos

This is a clean, nice place to live. Our Property Manager, Debbie, is excellent at overseeing the property and has done so for years! She does what she needs to do to keep us safe and that everything runs smoothly! Do we have occasionally critters, yes and we have a Pest Control company that is readily available to take care of things as they arise. Traci is great in the office and always available for us when the need arises. We have an excellent Maintenace team that takes care of us as well!... Thank you, Joe, for taking care of my repairs you did for me recently. You know, its dishearten how it has become so easy to talk about the negative things when the positive things go unsaid!!! From my first year here ,the staff, from maintenance, to the leasing office , and all in between are friendly and helpful. I was blessed to have found Sugartree! It is very well kept, clean and maintained

This apartment is the first time in my life where I had a huge rat run across my kitchen floor. I have had mice in draws, but never a huge rat. Apparently, it came through the roof into my utility room. I took a photo after it was caught in a
rat trap in my attic. Don't worry I am not going to post it. The manager tried some damage control saying it was only mice, but the tenants aren't that stupid and it's such a huge problem that everyone knows the truth. The roofs suck here and the... buildings are not sealed. There is an open crawl space under the entire building. Management lies like a rug here painting this great place to live. You will most likely move in because its cheap but a year later they will jack your rent and you will realize all the issues. I am stuck here till next year. Good luck! Lee mas

This may be one of the least expensive places to live in the area, but it is not the least bit worth it. The AC set up comes in under the window at the front of the apartment, so air does not circulate. For a small 1x1 about 650 sq ft, I paid $150 a month in electricity, all year round. The "renovated" apartments are just slathered with paint on everything, including the original cabinetry that is just as old as the complex itself. The appliances are all original as well.
The property manager... is an absolute plague on that community. She will charge you as much as she can by the time you leave for basic wear and tear of the apartment. When I first moved in, she made me wait in my car until she finished smoking her cigarette before she'd give me my keys. She circles the lot from time to time, checking everyone's apartments and ensuring their cars are not backed in - you will get a ticket if it is. She threatened to evict my neighbors for living there for too long. Ultimately, she made them move into a small apartment so she could "renovate" theirs. You are required to have the carpet professionally cleaned upon move out, providing a receipt as proof, if you don't, she will charge you to replace the carpet for regular wear and tear. She gave my apartment key to pest control even though I was on a 'do not disturb' list because of my animals. When I went to discuss it with her, she tried to laugh at me and blame it on me for not paying attention to the schedule I was given, which was outdated to a time before I'd moved in. She does surprise inspections to ensure you're not doing something to the apartment she doesn't approve of.
It might be cheaper, but you will still pay quite a bit to live here. It's not worth the cost and the renovations are not renovations at all, just paint. Lee mas

Very nice place for a family and their pets to call home. 1 and 2 bedrooms available. Washer /dryer hookup. Beautiful place to live and close to the beach. Very affordable and spacious. Home sweet home!!
