Noisy neighbors, management puts it back on you
I have lived here 11 months now and it has been miserable. The unit above us constantly wakes us up with noise throughout the night or first thing in the morning. Between the stampeding down the stairs at 5:30 in the morning to loud vehicles, sleep is always interrupted. We always hear heavy walking all day long, that continues into quiet hours.
After complaining and management looking into it, I was told that everything complained about is apartment living and nothing can be done about it.... After complaining, retaliation ensued with more noise, intentional noise, again was told that nothing could be done. I was told that because I was now hypersensitive that I would hear noise....I hear it because it wakes us up!
We also hear the unit above us running their dryer all night, only the dryer. What wakes us up is the getting up and restarting the dryer and shutting of the laundry closet doors every 2 hours. There are days where the dryer runs nearly 24 hours. I contacted the security officer and was told that it was a touchy subject and couldn't stop them from doing laundry at night. I explained that they were not doing laundry, explained that the noise was malicious - I got the same response. I have since reached out to management about more noise and have yet to hear anything back.
We have spent almost a year hear and will not renew the lease as it has been a strain on our sleep and mental health. My wife and son wear earplugs to sleep and still are woken up. My wife is stressed out during the day as she is short on sleep and my son wakes up with eyebags every morning because of lack of sleep.
Bottom line, I have complained about noise since the month after I moved in. That went on for a few months. Noise would subside for a week then start right back up. This has been the pattern for nearly a year and it will not change.
Think twice about moving here as complaints will be taken with a grain of salt and will be put back on you. Not quite up to "luxury living" standards.
