Cortona South Tampa Apartamentos

When stopping in to tour, I first noticed how plush, green and well maintained the property looked. Compared to other 3 properties I looked at, Cortona was by far the most impressive. In addition to the property looking great, the staff was also very kind, informative and took the time to explain the additional fees' with rent. Ive lived here now for 4 months and truly have no complaints!

The complex is full of dog crap, and you get fined for not bringing your smelly garbage into your place every single day. Now I’m finding roaches inside my place which is disgusting. Can’t wait to move away from here

This place is terrible. I've had problems here since day 1. I was being charged $300 electric bills, from a 3 bedroom townhome that was not mine and they refused to contact TECO, claiming I was just using too much electric for my one bedroom apt

The office staff is rude and unprofessional. They literally do not care about resident satisfaction or have an ounce of customer service skills. You will rarely get a call back, you have to go into the office. Management has changed 3 times since I've... moved in, once changing companies altogether and it is just as terrible. I've resorted to emailing (because they are rarely physically in the office) the property manager because it has proven to be a waste of time to speak with any other office staff member.

The property looks nice at a glance, but look closer. The pool is disgusting, residents are often scooping out leaves and bugs to be able to enjoy it. I've never seen it cleaned. The grounds aren't well kept and the grass is always overgrown. There's little to no parking, they claim they tow cars without a tag but I've never seen a tow truck in the 1.5 years I've lived here.

The walls are paper thin. People play loud music, smoke weed and workout from 4th floor apartments. I've complained that my clothes literally smell of pot because my neighbors smoke inside 24/7 and nothing has been done. My entire apartment reeks of weed and they could care less.

I'm a nurse and I work nights. My husband is deployed overseas. I got a notice for a routine inspection of the air conditioning unit from 9am-5pm. Again, I work nightshift and live alone right now. I kindly asked if the inspection could be done on a different day where I do not work the night before or if I could schedule a time. The property manager refused to make any accommodation. She literally told my husband I'd "just have to wake up" and there was no other option. A single female, sleeping, living alone with no choice but to have men come into my apartment at any time one day for a ROUTINE inspection.

They give you no choice but to pay $25 for "valet trash" which is actually one guy with a pickup truck who packs the bed to the brim and loses at least 2 bags every night on his way to the dumpster. That's if you're lucky enough to get your trash taken at all. There's been multiple times I've put my trash out during the 2 hour window and it is still there in the morning.

I could go on but if this isn't enough to convince you to look elsewhere idk what is Lee mas

I have been a resident here since the property first opened. It is clear that once you sig. a lease to live here, you are not valued and cared about as a resident. There have been so many issues here that multiple residents have complained about and nothing has been done to rectify like packages being left outside of the mailroom unsecured, loud and unruly neighbors, lack of a working community gate, and a parking policy which is absolutely ridiculous. This is not a place where I want to live... anymore and would only recommend it to a college student. Lee mas

I love this property! It is ideally located in South Tampa near MacDill AFB and the Selmon Expressway and has so many great restaurants and shopping nearby. From the putting green to the pool, the amenities, buildings, and grounds are always immaculate and so well maintained. I really love seeing the huge American flag flying over the entrance. The staff, Matt, Edgar, and Anna, always go out of their way to ensure that all your needs are met.
