The Columns at Club Drive Apartamentos

This apartment complex has so many issues and we'd not recommend it to anyone. The apartments and appliances are very outdated. Amenities (swimming pool, gym room, etc.) are a joke. They just have them look pretty for picture because most of the time they're locked. Since we moved in the beginning of 2021 and the pool was opened to use twice. They charge you pest fee and we have tons of roaches and spiders inside and running around outside our apartment. Every morning when I open the door to go... to work my face would be tangle with spider webs. They also charge pets fee and they haven't replace dog waste bags or taken out all the dirty poop bags in all their dog waste station. We called to report that for 3 months and nothing change. Dog poops are everywhere on the ground. All the grassy area is like a mind field if you don't watch your step. Instead of improving the apartment they recently added a "trash valet" and jacked the rent up several hundreds more each month. "Trash valet" sounds fancy but it has so many rules we end up taking the trash to the dumpster ourselves. They keep raising the rent and evict so many residents recently. The gate is also a joke. When the gate opens, there's gonna be a line of 3-4 cars tailgate in because it opens really slow and stay open for a very long time. Don't get tricked by "We have a gate and you'll be safe".
The staff and management are very unprofessional and condescending, especially the managers. We called to report water pipse broke in April and no one came. A week later we called again for the third time and the manager Kris, with a very condescending tone asked why we didn't report earlier?! By the time they came to check, the broken pipes got worse and affected multiple units in the building. All the walls in our apartment got mold. The air, walls, and carpet felt mushy and moldy. We contacted the Columns again and they brought in 3 industrial fans & a heater trying to dry the wall up. We had to vacate out of the apartment due to loud noise and heat running 24/7 for 2 weeks. Our electric and water bills got highjacked because of that. We contacted the Columns again and was promised by the old manager, Kris, to reimburse us when we send them the bills. Management changed and the new manager, Gretchen, is nowhere better than the old one. We contacted the office by phone and emails and got no respond. When she responded she promised to have the answer in a week and here we are 3 weeks later with no answer. Lee mas

Management is Incompetent. They only are concerned about your satisfaction when the review is bad. When you try to get resolution with an issue. They can’t do anything. So keep the same energy that you give in person because your concern is only in the review, and that wasn’t for me it is for potential renters. Don’t believe the hype.

Management in this apartment community is very incompetent. They don't follow through with action plans, that they make. There are no consequences for residents who are habitually noisy. They say that your comfort is priority but if that involves them taking any action, it won't get done.

Have had noise issues with the people below me from the first week I moved in. They continually play their bass so loud that my floor and furniture vibrates. The police have been called out numerous times, and every time, their response is, "Why isn't Management doing anything about this." The issue has been raised to management NUMEROUS times, and most recently, I was told that "a letter" would be sent. If indeed a letter was sent, it had NO effect on the issue. Management seems wholly... unconcerned that someone plays their bass 20 hours per day, for numerous days on end, making it impossible to live near them. Never mind the fact that it is in Management's OWN Resident Handbook that such behavior is unacceptable! Lee mas

Well, I have been here since Jan 2015 and I can honestly say I have no complaints! The staff is actually very friendly and the property is very well kept. Any problems that I have had {as far as maintenance} it has been properly handled and in a timely fashion. I will say this -- this is a very kid friendly apartment complex and pet friendly! I totally love it especially for my daughter! Mandy -- who works in the office is the most upbeat person that I know she makes you feel very safe talking... to her and very welcomed in the community! As long as the rent does not increase -- they have a potential long term resident! :) Lee mas
