The apartment is great, the location is dynamite, rooftop view is insane. They can’t keep their staff and if anything breaks it’s never getting fixed. You can find a better deal

It’s great until you have ANY minor issue and then the leasing office is nearly impossible to get in touch with and unhelpful when you do finally reach them. I’ve lived in 4 different apartment buildings and this is the worst management I’ve ever experienced.

I like living at AM1980, my apartment is nice and has a nice view, it's not noisy even with the L stop right behind us, the roof deck is really nice and has a nice view.

Don't be fooled by the great rating, these aren't written by recent residents.

Lived here for 4 years, liked it so much I moved from a studio to 1-bed to stay in the building. However, building was sold to new management 1 year ago and we have been counting the days to get out. Make sure you change to "new" reviews and you'll see I'm not alone. Reason its still an overall 4.2 stars was how great it use to be, the trend will continue and they will soon be at their proper 1 star rating.

Just to... give you an idea, I submitted a maintenance request the first week we moved into a new unit a year ago, the request was because of a leaking and damaged tub that needed patching. Reminded them several times. I will now move out of the unit a full year later with this never once being addressed or even inspect. I submitted multiple windows of time they could come and fix it and they never even responded. Absolutely the worst management. Lee mas

AM 1980 is located in Bucktown, which sits between Logan Square and Wicker Park. It is one of the best located apartment communities in the Bucktown area - a two-minute walk to the Blue Line, within four blocks of two good grocery stores, conveniently located medical services, a bike ride to the best gym in Chicago, close to the 606 Bike Trail, and a short walk to many bars and restaurants. The location is hard to beat.
