BEWARE OF MAISON BURBANK
DO NOT LIVE HERE if you have an Xbox, Playstation, Nintendo Switch, PC, Computer, or just generally enjoy having wifi. The apartment complex says “wifi included” but they don’t pay for the ethernet service, and the wifi does not reach the rooms effectively or right outside the door. When you move in, there’s ethernet ports in the rooms that are not wired up, and upon discussing it with the office, they said they cancelled the ethernet service, but the wireless wifi is not strong enough to reach... the rooms. Their solution was to tell us to use the ethernet port on the router and run a wire from the laundry room to the device, but if there’s multiple roommates who need access to wifi, you have to buy a splitter, which we did. Then after a couple months of it working it shut off and the wifi company says the apartment does not pay for the ethernet tier, so we bought ethernet wires and splitters for nothing at the apartment’s instruction. So far they refuse to give residents basic wifi. Also before moving in they claimed the apartments were being “completely renovated and the apartment we will be put in will be basically brand new” but upon moving in the unit was filthy, uncleaned, had mold in about every room (to fix this they painted over it, did not address the root issue), water frequently leaks from the ceiling into bathrooms and kitchen (onto floor, cabinets soaking everything inside, and onto refrigerator), and the windows aren’t correctly sealed so bugs frequently get inside.
