Hillside Senior Apartment Homes

This is a beautiful community and has lots of potential, but the management is another story. Wingate Properties the management is the worst people to deal with!
We had a good property manager here, Ali, but unfortunately she is leaving. Too much conflict with Wingate the property management company. I don’t know the future of this community, but with the current company in charge it looks pretty bad. They are very non caring and there is no communication with them. Emails are not answered and... phone calls not returned not to mention they don’t even answer the phone.
What a shame a nice community like this with friendly residents has to have such bad ownership. All I can say, move here at your own risk. Lee mas

One set of stairs to your place, they are falling apart and blocked off. The staff insults you to your face. They fix NOTHING ever! Some of the people living here think they own the common walkway landing and put obstacles in the way so you can't even get to your door with anything. The elevators smell and they don't stay open when you move in. The people leave their animals out in the way so you can either be bitten by dogs or cats run under your legs as you get up the stairs that do work. They... have a citizens committee because no one is fixing the dilapidated stairs or stopping the crime. The units are tiny and so you can't get all your things in the teeny closets or living rooms. The leasing staff is rude. They gossip about the tenants to one another. They don't fix things in a timely manner or even at all. They act like you are bothering them when you need assistance. I would not recommend this property to anyone.

Hillside Senior Apts is a very nice place to live for seniors. I love it here. We all have our own porches or patio. The living rooms have floor to ceiling windows. We have all utilities included which is hard to find nowadays. Our new manager, Ms Bangura, Assistant Manager, Ms Brewah and our maintenance supervisor, Mr Christian all seem to be working to help make things great. I love it when they tell us we are valuable residents. I love that we control our own heat and air. It’s also a... beautiful property. We have a courtyard we can walk around and nice trees. I love living at Hillside Apts. We have all utilities included. There are fewer places that offer this. As seniors, it is important for most of us to know exactly how much we are spending each month. The kitchens are big with a lot of counter space and cabinets. The living room has huge floor to ceiling windows. I love the large showers. I love the double doors leading to the bedroom. I love the built in book shelf and the coat hanger by the door. I especially love my front porch area. We all... have porches or a patio. It is very nice living here. We are all older and civil and friendly to one another. The newer manager, Ms Bangura, the Assistant Manager, Ms Brewah and Christian, our maintenance supervisor seem to work very hard to address any needs that we have.
