Management cannot enforce anything!
I would strongly advise against renting here as management is a disaster. Lisa in the front was very friendly and willing to help, but management above her would do nothing.
Even though this is a smoke free building, our apartment smelled like weed regularly especially when we started using the heat. We also could not open windows sometimes to air out the place as it was worse outside. The hallway corridors also smelled strongly of weed daily. We talked about this with management for 9 months... to reach some sort of resolution. They did come and seal up cabinets and offered to change our filter (which we had already bought the highest level) and not much changed. They posted passive aggressive messages on doors threatening fines but could not do anything unless people were caught in the act of doing it. We only know of a fine being issued as we reported a time for them to check the security cameras.
Our neighbors below us regularly played music so loud that it would shake all of our furniture for hours during the day. We contacted the main office 10+ times to come validate and nothing happened. They noted a 3 strike policy but never enforced it. After the complex would talk to the neighbors it would get better but resume in a week or two. Our other neighbors would play music loud from 2-4am. There was no after hours verification of complaints. They told us to call the police to get them to be quieter, but that only works if people open their doors. Police would come as a courtesy, but could not file any complaints regarding noise. No matter how many times we tried to work with management no permanent change occured
As another tenant mentioned we also had a substantial portion of our deposit taken. We were charged $560 for a full repaint. We did have a couple of small patches that peeled the when we removed our command hooks, and put some nails in the wall for a gallery wall. I thought painting an apartment was considered basic maintenance for an apartment between tenants. Guess not.
Parking in the back can be difficult, and think I got a scratch on my car from someone's door. There is no gym/pool or many amenities. Not great to stare out to Wallmart and the highway as well.
Management onsite could not do much to enforce basic things in their rental policy. If you want a place where people are respectful, doesn't smell like weed, and you hope to get any of your deposit back then I do not recommend moving here.

We appreciate you taking the time to share your feedback, although we’re disheartened to hear about your negative experience. Management takes all concerns seriously and makes best effort to address any issues appropriately and in accordance with the... community regulations. We’ve noted your comments about move-out charges and would be happy to speak with you to better understand the concern. Our practice does require tenants to return the unit to its original condition, which sometimes includes repainting, when excessive damage is present. We're sorry to hear about any parking difficulties as we offer first come, first serve parking to our residents and regularly monitor and enforce parking permits throughout the community. If you would like to discuss any of these matters further, please contact the leasing office at 586-210-3000 to speak with the Site Manager. -Management, The Residence at Chesterfield Corners
