Awful place to live as of 2024.
Over summer ‘24, right after renewing my lease, I began finding roaches in my apartment. They sent in pest control 3 times in 2 months, but never TREATED my apartment so I continued to find roaches up until my transfer day. The 6 weeks leading up to my transfer, there were 3 floods in Phase 1. About a year in, I got a new upstairs neighbor and within the 2 years he lived above me, I made 8 noise complaints. The problems got so bad that I paid thousands to move to a 2 br that costs nearly double... b/c that’s what was available at the time and I needed OUT for the sake of my mental health and physical safety. And I was willing to pay double rent because I thought my quality of living would be better. When I transferred, the office staff joked about how I was moving out of “the hood” and that it would be so much better over in Phase 2. But let me not forget the main reason I moved out.. my immediate neighbor had a live in BF who was not on the lease, he was HIGHLY inappropriate with myself and other RM residents. He was also DV to the resident he lived with and was tearing up their unit by punching walls. I reported this person for not being on the lease and was told I was the 4th person to report this issue. The employee told me that instead of demanding he be added to the lease or leave, the employee told the resident to “keep her posted” b/c the resident said that she didn’t feel comfortable adding the man to her lease. I was told this during my “walk out inspection” which was really just the employee standing at my island gossiping with me about the situation and asking me “if the camera was on because it’s an fha violation”. The reviews other people have left about weird random charges and trying to get as much money out of tenants as possible and save money on vendors is absolutely true. Let’s add that when I went to the office to transfer, I was handed a stack of keys for 3 different units by the office manager, no one could even be bothered to tour them. The walls in P2 are paper thin, so if you get a city view, be prepared to hear ALL of the noise from the streets and highways 24/7 365. It’s no wonder that the tenant in my current unit before me broke their lease.
