Stay Away from this place
I moved in here back in February of 2022. I was excited to move here, as I was told Cary is very peaceful and apartments are very nice and modern. I chose Hermitage because it fit perfectly in my budget and pictures of the units looked beautiful. However, from the moment my brother and I moved in, it has been a nightmare. The unit was not ready at all to be occupied by a tenant. Walls were not sanded nor painted correctly, all outlets were loose, door of the master bedroom was off the hinge,... bathroom of the master bedroom had a leak, and whole ceiling came down, etc. As the months went by, we kept having issues with the unit, leak under the sink in the kitchen, which caused fungus to create a bad smell. Then we had a bedbug issue, which the complex was blaming us for. I work from home and don't go out and my brother works in fast food. After going back and forth with the property manager, all they did was send an exterminator at no cost to us. Weeks later, my brother and I did a deep cleaning of our pantry room finding many of our food being chewed on. Additionally, we found rat like droppings all over the floor and our food. It was later determined that we had a rat/mice infestation. I kindly requested a $300 refund for the lost of our food, which of course, the property denied. I requested to speak with higher management, which they refused and instead sent us an eviction notice, since I waited to pay for my last month due to this situation. I always paid my rent on time and this was the treatment I received from the property. The funny party is that the property increased their rent fee by $300!!!! I'm moving to another apartment complex less than a mile from here, which offers a FULL GYM, renovated units with updated appliances and more square footage than this place for $200 cheaper! This place is a joke and would avoid it at all cost if you can. They don't care all for their tenants and only care about charging more money when the units are completely outdated and falling apart.
