Unresolved leakage in my apartment
Frustrated with my experience at Alden Place at South Square. My unit had a severe leak that caused significant water damage. Despite reporting the issue immediately, it took management time to respond, days to take the problem seriously, and more than a week to begin addressing the problem. The issue is still not resolved after two weeks of registering the complaint.
The leak not only damaged my personal belongings but is also a hazard due to mold growth and puddles of water in the carpet. The... lack of urgency and professionalism from the management team was and is still unacceptable. Management’s incompetence shouldn’t be a surprise though because 6 months ago water was coming in from outside along the baseboard. It took them multiple times, spanning weeks, to finally resolve the issue.
Living in these conditions is not pleasant and unhealthy. I would sincerely not recommend this apartment complex to anyone. Wellbeing is not prioritized here and response to concerns are filled with many “sorry”s and limited to no action.

Thank you for your feedback. As explained, leaks/water intrusion is a process that involves finding the source, making repairs, drying out and making any cosmetic repairs if need be. We have tended to your concern since you notified us. We've had our... service team inspect, licensed plumber & hvac con tractor all make adjustments to reduce condensation and have found no leak. The drying out process has been interrupted due to occupants turning off equipment so we've had the small area affected professionally extracted. We have communicated daily and apologize if you feel we fell short of your expectations. We take great pride in keeping our homes in good condition and providing a positive living experience for our residents.
