Caveat Emptor
I lived at Murphy Farms from December 2022 thru April 2024 (15 months) and had no major issues until I left. Some minor problems were A/C filters not changed regularly, Wasps entering apartment through exterior vent on porch, Freezer Ice Maker not installed until October 2023 and washing machine, which I was told was new, had to have drum replaced due to rust, 4 months after moving in.
It is now 60 days since I left the apartment and I still have not received the promised refund. Furthermore, I... was told that one of the rugs in the apartment (which was also supposed to be new, without proof), needed replacement due to a few stains. I do not believe that I was the cause of the stains and feel that the rug, not being new was already stained when it was initially installed.
I was initially told that the refund would be $400.00 which included our $200 security deposit plus our full April Garage rental fee of $200.00 as we relinquished it when requested in mid-April for a new tenant. Now I find out that our refund would be around $60.00 due to the cost of replacing the rug. I have spoken to the rental office a couple of times since leaving and was told that they are very busy and assured me that our refund was on its way

The HVAC filters are set on a rotation but can be replaced... sooner if requested. Security deposits are refunded within 30-days from when the account is closed out.
