Whispering Hills Apartments

Too much to write out so here's the highlights:
-office staff was incredibly unhelpful and seemed very uninterested in leasing an apartment to me right out the gate (with the exception of Melissa who was genuinely kind and gave all the necessary information needed and requested)
-I had made it clear that plank flooring was something I had to have but they refused to walk the unit I was interested in to let me know if that was a possibility when all they would have had to do was deliver a 24 hour... notice to the current tenant that they would be walking the unit. Instead, it was 30 days of wonder while they held all my money and I had put in a notice with my current complex. I found out a week before I moved that I WOULD be getting plank flooring due to the previous tenant trashing the carpet. Cool, we could have avoided 30 days of anxiety, wonder, and general unhappiness.
-When I moved in, the apartment was legitimately filthy. It looked like they took a dirty rag and ran it over the appliances and counter tops, found dead bug in a tub that wasn't even cleaned, hair in the drawers, baseboards were disgusting with old food and remnants and doors were all discolored, etc.
-Received a call that I could not have the solar lights lining my patio due to groundkeeping. I got home after work that day to remove them and saw they had ripped them all out (broke 2), and also ripped out a flower I had planted next to my patio and left it in disarray on my patio. How insanely rude and unnecessary.
-Also received a complaint about smoking on my patio but I don't smoke

This is an expensive apartment. $600 more than I paid at my last complex. I've lived in every pocked of Omaha and rented with multiple companies. They need to fire their cleaning vendor, get office staff and a property manager that actually cares about its tenants, and learn how to communicate like an adult instead of all of the passive-aggressiveness. This has truly been such a bad experience from the immediate beginning. I only moved in because i love the unit itself, which is how I suspect they retain occupancy because it certainly is not because of their customer service. Lee mas

I recommend avoiding this place at all costs. The apartment was dirty on the day that we moved in. All of the appliances were old and most of them had issues on day one. The maintenance staff made us feel as if most of our requests were not necessary. The office staff seemed uninterested in assisting us when we asked questions about the complex or reported issues. The monthly rent was high and included a large number of hidden utility fees that were not mentioned during the tour. After moving... out, we were charge large fees for cleaning even though we left the apartment in a cleaner state than we received it. Definitely look somewhere else for your housing needs Lee mas

Seriously, move anywhere else. When something breaks - and it will, you can bet on that, management won't respond to anything in a timely manner. I can deal with a broken washing machine, what I can't deal with is when my heat breaks in the middle of winter, my apartment is 40 degrees inside and management won't do a thing. My AC went out when it was over 100 degrees each day, and my apartment was over 90 degrees. My dog was inside and could have died. If you love your pets, don't live here... because management doesn't care. Lee mas

I’ve been a resident here for 6 months now and since then my boyfriends truck has been broken into and it was just stolen out of the parking lot. They have no security cameras/security measures whatsoever. I don’t feel safe living here and now stuck in my lease for another 8 months. Very dissatisfied

The property managers are attentive, respectful, and overall do a great job meeting our needs. However I cannot even begin to address the safety issues and noise here. I've been here less than 18 months and have seen 3 different Head property managers come and go. The micro managing of Lund corporate has driven these managers to leave, the property to suffer, all to the detriment of the residents. If there is any fact to retain from us it is that this is NOT a family friendly place. Don't... bring your kids here. Safety and noise is an issue. Lee mas
