Moving on to better pastures

I have lived here for over 25 years and I rent a unit that is individually owned so I don't necessarily rent directly through Sagamore Court. However, living here for the many years I have, I have seen things about this place that most people haven't because of the quick turn over of renters. They really are good about keeping the grounds and inside of the buildings well kept. However, they have let the Tennis court just fall apart and have done nothing and don't have any plans to restore it. ... They use to have a playground for the kids but tore it down and there is absolutely nothing here for kids to do. The picnic/BBQ area consists of 2 picnic tables with 2 grills for 6 buildings with 24 units in each to share. The laundry rooms only have 2 washer and dryers to share with 24 units in each building. It's impossible to ever get your laundry done half the time. There is a constant problem with dog owners not picking up after there dogs. The building is secure but people still leave the doors opened. They're not always good about maintainence or making sure your complaints are taken care of, especially if you're a condo owner or a renter of a condo owner. They don't ever disclose about possible leaking or flooding of the basement apartment nor do they disclose the mold issues that can arise. The property manager tends to take things on a very personal level and is not at all professional when she is proven wrong or when you have to approach her to remind her of something that she still hasn't done. The lack of quietness and respect of other neighbors is ridiculous and is never addressed properly so you're always left to call the police to try to get some sort of quietness or resolution. There is no storage area anymore and not enough parking spaces for quests. If I weren't on a housing program that puts limitations on the amount allotted for rent, I would have been out of here a long time ago. However, I have finally come to terms that even with the limitations I do have, it is imparative that I move out for my sense of well being and health.

I apologize that you did not enjoy your time here at Sagamore Court, and that you feel we have such a quick turn around with our residents. It is actually quite the opposite, we have many residents who have lived here a number of years including... condo owners who live on-site.
We are actually in the process of getting pricing to convert the tennis court area into an off leash dog area. Due to the fact that the tennis courts were built in an area so close to the water at the back of the property it is very difficult to keep the concrete in good shape. We have also implemented a DNA program to catch dog owners who do not pick up after their pets.
When a resident resides in a privately owned unit it is their responsibility to notify their landlord, the condo owner, of any issues they may have. The condo owner would then need notify the staff of any issues that were our responsibility to repair. It is against policy, and the condo rules for us to enter a privately owned condo, without the permission of the owner themselves.
We are now under new management, and our staff does the best we can to address the concerns of all residents on the property. Leaking and mold concerns are always addressed immediately, and appropriately if they arise.
In multi-unit dwellings it is the responsibility of all residents and staff to work together to create an enjoyable experience for all, however because there are so many homes located so close together some noise is to be expected, especially with people on a variety of schedules.
Again I apologize that you did not enjoy your time here but hope that you have found happiness with your decision to find new housing.
