An Apartment in the City that is Always Asleep
Elizabeth, NJ is a quiet city, south of Newark and west of New York. It's greatest claims to fame are the Ikea (before NYC got one) and maybe (definitely) my apartment. What's so great about it you ask? Well, Dear Reader, the previous tenant built a bar, both the living room and my bedroom feature sweeping views of a tiny lawn and evening flood lights, and the bathroom is a steamy piece of high water pressure heaven.
But seriously, having battled mice and roaches in Bed-Stuy, Bk, I am... eternally grateful for having a rodent and insect-free existence over the past three years. And the super is great. I've locked myself out of my apartment multiple times, and he's both changed my locks and opened my door without ever charging me a lock-out fee. Where's the humanity in the world? Clearly in Elizabeth, NJ.
