So Happy to be out
I lived here for about two and a half years and I’m so happy to be out. The apartments are very old and falling apart. The entire floor of my apartment was slanted in so much, I had to command hook furniture to the wall. If you are planning on leaving before staying for two years you will also have to pay $225 to have the unit repainted after you leave. My kitchen faucet would start to drip and leak whenever I would run the dishwasher to the point I gave up calling it into maintenance every week... or so. Property management has a very patch-it kind of take when it comes to maintenance and will certainly take their time with big repairs or anything they can write off the buildings just being “old”; getting contractors in to my unit to fix the creaking floors my neighbors and I were complaining about was like pulling teeth. I have had my downstairs neighbors try to fight me on our front porch and the best advice management could give me was “just try to talk it out”. Of the very few upsides to living here was the assistant manager Meridith. Unlike the management company as well as her boss, Meridith actually cares about the tenants; she really will go out of her way to accommodate everyone anyway she can. She always had the right answer for any question I had or she if she didn't know, she would actually get back to me the next day with the info. Meredith also stayed late several times in order to accommodate my work schedule when it came to dropping off paperwork. Sadly there is only so much the assistant manager can do for you. Overall getting any work in your unit is an uphill battle, management's overall tone is one up indifference, and neighbors range from very friendly and genuine to filing police reports.
