Excellent studio apartments, awesome place to live.
I lived at The Sovereign from 2017 until this month (June 2020). This apartment (seventh floor studio) was the best I've had in Portland. Great value, amazing location and a coffee shop in the lobby, which kinda is the icing on the cake. Excellent service from staff, who were very supportive during the covid thing.
Simple, well designed studio apartments that really do the trick, easy to clean, easy to stay. Floors super easy to maintain, and the tiled floor in the bathroom really nice.... Daylight bathroom with high end fixtures and tub/shower, really nice. Kitchen design and fixtures modern, all high end and again, easy to keep clean and maintain. I've been here two years and would add another year but work has disappeared after the covid thing, and time to go find work elsewhere. I have thoroughly enjoyed it here. Quiet neighbors, respectful, too. No air conditioning, but with a north facing apartment, I don't recall any night where it was a real problem.
Another huge convenience is the one bill approach. Rent includes all utilities and even basic cable and wifi. Not the fastest wifi in town, but not the worst by a long shot. All in one bill. Made life so easy for move in and out.
Laundry in basement is credit/debit card operated, which I found a lot easier to use than trying to remember to have enough quarters. Building maintained impeccably, always clean and secure and concierge, Paul, made this place outstanding. Always a welcome greeting and any packages delivered weekday were secured and safe, and I always got notifications. I'm going to miss this place. Highly recommend it.
