They screwed me! They leased my room out during a month where I still had my lease running. I agreed to move out early to do them a solid. They then STILL charged me for that month.
I asked again and again for them to waive that month's rent since I moved out early. They, and their owner (Berger Rental Properties), refused and were extremely rude!
Avoid doing business with these people!

The good:
The location of the property is great, the building itself is very clean - I was on the top floor and had no issues with any kind of insect or pest in my unit. Hallways were kept fairly clean as was the elevator and small fitness center.
Options for garage or outside parking, storage in the garage, and more are ample, but there are some issues with these.
The bad:
I had a number of issues, well documented, and discussed with management and was given nothing in the way of help. Issues... are below:
Decent amount of noise. My first next-door neighbors would watch TV loud into the night. After leaving I had issues with noise from a downstairs neighbor that generally would happen early in the morning with TV on loud starting around 7am.
The biggest issue that I had was in the parking garage. About halfway through my time a resident with a large SUV began parking over the line into my space. I spoke to the property manager at least a dozen times about this, I had photos documenting how she was parking, and due to it I was checking my car every day knowing that it was only a matter of time until she damaged it.
I was told that the property manager was going to contact the resident directly - I found out later he never did this, and one evening a few weeks later I came out to my car, checked the side as I always would when coming or going from the garage and saw a scratch on my car. I still have hundreds of dollars of damage for that scratch to my car that will fall on me because of management’s lack of initiative.
A final nail in the coffin was a leak above my storage unit ruined a pair of shoes.
For a company that espouses values of:
“We always do the right thing”
And so many more - I found NONE of these to be the case.
I will say that the property let go the first property manager, but that was their blame game and excuse for everything that happened to me.
When all of these issues caused me to leave, I was given no flexibility in moving out - I still paid out until the end of my lease, was never given anything to make up for the damage. The property was great, the management I would not rent from again based on the number of issues and damage that I am now left with. I would not recommend Berger and am happy to discuss this with anyone. To this point, whenever brought up with property management I have been shut down, so my review is based on an honest attempt to resolve these issues with Berger not helping.
