Communication and Management
Hello, I have lived in Landmark Apartment for almost 3 years and am not planning on resigning the lease if the management team cannot fix their communication.
We were accused of having a portable washer hooked into our sink, that was causing the downstairs neighbors sink to have bubbles. We did laundry downstairs; We never owned a portable washer.
My service dog was accused of being a nuisance and scratching at the carpet, and they told ME to put her in a crate when she is ALREADY in a crate... and trained!
We have always expressed services we have needed, but maintenance cannot call you or let you know when they are coming.
My shower was leaking, and the maintenance team came and walked in an out of my apartment for hours, without letting me know if the shower was going to be fixed or not. It was close to 9pm, when I wondered if they were coming back as they left their tools and didn’t talk to me at all before they left.
There was an A.C. leak in the apartment downstairs, and they came to fix it in mind. However, they blindly left my carpet SOAKED with water and when I went down to the maintenance men working on the unoccupied apartment downstairs, he shrugged at me and said he would ASK if they could vacuum up the water they left drenched. About 45 minutes later, somebody finally came up and said he would come back with a vacuum. He never did! I was left to use a towel to try to get it all up myself, when it was a mess they made themselves.
The deadbolt in our door was getting stuck and we were planning on telling them soon, however we were planning a vacation and got caught up with other responsibilities. It only took a few times to enter the pin again, it wasn’t that big of an issue. We were excited and planning a vacation, we went on the vacation, and when we came back, my boyfriend got locked out of the apartment but had to use the restroom, and unfortunately messed up the door in the process. We called and let Landmark know, and they blamed us and said we should have let them know when it first was messing up, when they can’t even let us know if my shower is usable and if their job is done! They told my boyfriend they were going to come on MONDAY to fix the door and they didn’t come until WEDNESDAY, without any call or notice that they were coming! It is extremely hypocritical of them to tell us we should have let them know about the door getting stuck, when we have always communicated with them, and they fail to do the same.
