Reserve at Mill Landing

Where to start... I really don't want to harp here, I just moved and needed a place to live, this place was cheap and looked good on paper. I have since had to reach out to lawyers, battle with the property manager, all while sweating meself to sleep in an 80 degree apartment because they cannot and will not fix the A/C. I have had to pay hundreds of dollars in late fees due to the leasing office being unable to deliver my keys. The leasing office doors are locked when I have reached out dually... to set up appointments, and when I call by phone to ask what happened, nobody is there to answer. You walk through the halls here and they are covered with trash that hasnt been collected and stains from where it had been sitting and rotting into the ground. The grounds are covered in dog poop, the roads have massive cracks, and not even our fire alarm works anymore. There are so many photos/videos I cant upload them all. Upon entry to my garage for the first time i was swarmed and stung by hornets. I really do not know how to describe how poor of a decision it would be for you to live here, I strongly reccomend you look through the reviews and see the common theme, this complex cannot serve the residents it currently has let alone new ones. Almost everyone I meet has a major issue in their unit that the leasing office is either putting off, or denying. The one in my apartment is the A/C doesnt work at all and I have made it through most of this SC summer sleeping through 80 degree nights. For some they have had massive water leaks in their apartments for days if not weeks before any action is taken. Please, I dont know you, but I know you work hard for your money, and rent will be a large portion of that, choose a complex that will respect you for the thousands you stand to spend with them and not one that will try to trap you into signing before you can realize what you have stepped into. My only hope is to have this place condemned for MAJOR health and safety violations, so nobody else has to suffer through this. Oh and I cant wait for the "please reach out! Please reach out!" comment below, even though I have reached out multiple times before resorting to this but nothing was done and I keep getting gaslighted, Ive called too many times, you should try calling ME because no one answers YOUR phones, not even the emergency line when its the Lexington fire department calling Lee mas

They will take ur money fast but not do anything to help you when things go wrong applied for 1 apartment they gave us another without telling us and it had roaches and mold and so much maintenance issues even when we had to wait well over 1 month to move in then day of move in they wouldn't let us move in til 2pm wanna know why they said to sweep up from painting NOPE IT WAS BECUASE THEY BOMBED IT FOR ROACHS

DO NOT APPLY ONLINE!!! I applied 2 months ago and went the following morning to secure. I did not have my co applicant fill info online but she went with me in the office to secure. We found that one apartment offered was already leased ( the person working had to call the manager to confirm) and the other had pest control issues. I was told by Kristin she would let me know if they could get another apartment ready, called me and told me they would send me a refund (I have vm proof) within 30... days and it has now been almost 2 months and no refund of the $200 admin fee for an apartment I held less than 24 hours. I have spoken to multiple people (I have a call log of over 17 calls back and forth) and they have all tried to say I was denied even though I would have been approved if they had what they said was available and my co-signer applied. I have been told 3 times I would get a refund and nothing has arrived and when I call I am ignored or lied to. I have a voicemail from Kristin saying I would get the refund, told a month later by Jasmine or Kristin that they would contact the manager to get the check sent, then informed by Ashley 2 weeks ago that she would send after being on hold for 12 minutes for her to listen to phone call recordings. I have also contacted corporate 3 times with no response. If they treat you this way when applying imagine how they treat you as a paying resident locked in. I just moved out, thankfully to a cleaner, more updated complex where management takes care of issues immediately PLUS the rental is bigger and less expensive! The Reserve slapped me with $400 move out fees for utilities and”service” costs. Beware… there was a shooting 2 weeks before I moved out.. My carpet was not tacked down, old and stinky, stains on all the countertops, and both toilets loose on the floor.
