Amazing Apartment Community

This property is truly amazing....
Property is so clean and well ran i have seen.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new place to live.
Office staff and maintenance so helpful and friendly.

Nice location, poor quality of life

Pros:
Nice amenities overall
Close to swamp rabbit trail
Close to downtown TR and Greenville
1 hour from mountains
Courtesy Officers on site
Valet trash pickup

CONS:
You will feel and hear almost every thing your neighbors do. These apartment buildings were constructed very cheaply with zero consideration for noise isolation. The kitchen cabinets and front doors are intentionally built to slam shut very hard with hinges that are spring-loaded, and very few people prevent them from slamming. As...
a result, the cabinets make a loud thump/bang each time they're closed unless done very gently, and the doors slam so hard it shakes the entire building. If you have a neighbor who lets their door slam (which most do), it will violently shake the chair you're sitting in (or bed you're laying in).
I have lost many hours of sleep and lived with very little peace because of how hard these doors and cabinets slam. It can start to feel like you share your unit with other people because of how invasive the sound and shockwaves are from what others are doing.
When doors and cabinets aren't slamming and dogs aren't barking, it's very peaceful. It is too bad that these buildings are built so poorly because it could otherwise be a very pleasant place to live in a great location.

Mold - current rental experience

We let the office know we saw a lot of mold in our attic on 6/26. We did have a surgery so the remediation was to occur July 19, but ended up happening July 25th. This might have happened earlier if management took our request more seriously.
We had no confidence they would take care of this sufficiently from the get-go so we paid $600+ to hire our own mold testing company to confirm there was actually mold. Our company did testing of the mold and testing of the air which confirmed this.

apartment had their own remediation companies come look at the mold without testing. As we learned from our own mold remediation company we paid for, it’s important to test the sample to know how to treat adequately. If you don’t treat adequately, you introduce the fruiting spores into your home even more so.

The remediation process was fine and we liked the company they selected. We had to stay on top of them to make sure they were remediating to our standards, of course, because the only person that cares about your own health and safety is you, and we knew the situation wasn’t fully communicated to them. It was inconvenient with working from home and having them visit four times, with having to clean our townhome after each visit from debris. We now have large loud air scrubbers running for multiple days.

I think what’s the most frustrating is how we were treated in this process, especially my husband. Comments were made to us such as it’s not really mold, it’s just staining, which we paid money to confirm it was actually mold. Management never apologized for her comments or took accountability for the fact we were exposed to mold for upwards of 7 months.

Overall considering the expensive rent, we would say our experience here has been less than expected. There was a stretch for over a month we had to contact the office several times to remind the construction workers not to completely block the only entrance street to our townhome. The inability to access or leave our townhome happened more than 7 times.
It’s a lot of the treatment like that which doesn’t make us feel valued as a resident.
