Serenity in Tennessee

My husband and I stayed here for a few weeks in May this year visiting our son and daughter in law. Wonderful early morning walks around the beautiful property and surrounds or just sitting on the balcony watching the wildlife and beautiful scenery. A lovely serene place. The pool was an added bonus and very well maintained as were the gardens. We also enjoyed the beautiful well set out apartment. An awesome experience.

Don’t bother

Where do we even begin. From DAY ONE this place has been nothing but a headache, starting off with an AC unit that did not work for the first couple weeks after having a crew come out TWICE to fix it, right as the heat of the summer was coming out. The busted AC unit seems to be an issue here through because when walking by you see people have window units given by the apartment because of the broken AC unit. The BUILD alone is nothing but pure sloppiness and unfinished work. The floors peel up,... the floor is sharp from unflattened Tac strips on the carpet lining, the sinks handles are loose, the door knob is loose, the door BARELY locks as the lock was not fitted properly before finishing up. A whole light fixture coming loose above your head at the island in the kitchen?Basically, I could go on and on about how un-finished and quickly put together this place is. But now let’s start to how trashy (literally) the place is. It seems like every week people load their trash up against the side of the compactor and it sits there getting real nice and smelly in the summer heat, lovely! It’s actually one of my favorite “luxury” features this apartment complex has. I would fault them for the lack luster amount of dog bag stations they have, but after MONTHS and months they finally installed some more around for people to use.. but still, no one picks up after their dog! Also, the “dog park” is so small and useless, don’t even bother taking your dog in there. Plus, if you live by the pool be prepared for endless amounts of bad music and lights peeling right into your windows at night! There’s a ton of issues as well including the sprinklers that seem to be broken and absolutely blast you as you walk by, some even shooting straight in the air like a geyser for some reason? You can’t even take a walk without getting soaked. But I’m going to end this off on my favorite part, maintenance. The maintenance guys here, I have read in other reviews and seen legitimately myself, them WALK INSIDE your apartment after knocking, waiting for 10 seconds and going MAINTENANCE while walking in. Uhhhh, first off that is BEYOND creepy and weird and second off the maintenance team is RUDE. I would consider looking elsewhere before you look here as prices have rose HUNDREDS of dollars since we first got here. It has rose so much in fact, I cannot say enough how much you should look elsewhere when finding an apartment.

Out of state moving experience

I currently live 6 hours away. I applied and was approved for my apartment late May/early June. I was set to move in on June 29th. When I called, which was a week before my move in date. I found out that they had switched company/properties. Basically they are under new management. I had NO CLUE. The guy I talked to, Kyle, who worked at a sister property and not exactly at Parkstone, told me they were under new management. I explained to him that I just wanted to change my time to a later time... that day, June 29th. He tells me they won’t be opened on the 29th! Are you serious??? We talked more and he suggested that they can put a lockbox on my door with my keys in it and they’ll email the code for the box. I said okay. I asked about my payment and he said just pay it when the leasing office opens back up. Cool. I talked to one other person the day after I talked to Kyle because I wanted to see if Sarah was still there. She’s no longer there because of the company change. Again, the lady I talked to discussed the lockbox and said it was going to be setup. Cool. The day before I was set to travel 6 hours to move in, I got a call from Jartu. She was helpful and answered all my questions. She was new and recently hired. She discussed what I needed to send in and have. She then tells me I need to make a payment before they set up the lockbox. I’m like okay. She also says if I do it after 6 just shoot her an email because she checks her email after hours. It was around 4:30 and I was driving. By the time I started to go through and do my payment, it was roughly 5:30ish. They closed at 6pm. I made the payment and sent what I needed roughly around 6:30ish. I emailed them to let them know. Okay, so the day Of move in I have not received an email with a code or anything. Before I got on the road, I wanted a code because I didn’t want to get all the way down there and nothing. I called every number listed. I emailed. I needed answers before getting on the road! I finally got in contact with a sister apartment. Gave her my number and she contacted the property manager who contacted me telling me they’ll be back in office around 2:30 or 3 and I can get my keys. Mind you she called me after 11:30pm, and again, I LIVE 6 HOURS AWAY!!! How can I be there @3??? Communication was so off with everyone! No one communicated with each other or me! It was very frustrating! Im hoping I can get my money back and go somewhere else because this was a horrible experience!
